Hi all, may I ask if the old system of needing to obtain at least 20 points or lower for ELR2B2 still exists now? Because I got 2 bonus points but I am worried that they will turn out to be useless if I didn't score at least 20 points...
you have to check with the various polytechnic website and visit their admission office
from what i can remember ,CCA points is NOT eligible for reduction of points system for admission to poly, only for JC admission .
cheers
Attaining A1-A2 for CCA allows you to deduct 2 bonus points from your ELR2B2, while attaining B3-C6 for CCA allows you to deduct 1 bonus point from your ELR2B2.
However, the bonus points only affect your NET aggregate score, not your RAW score. It is your RAW score that determines your eligibility for polytechnic/junior college/etc.
Thanks for all your replies. By the way if I may ask, anyone can predict what are the chances of getting a C6 for the O level E Maths this year with 51 marks?

You will need to have a chat with the Bell Curve god.

It's hard to say....
this is kinda sidetracked but are grades given according to the percentile of the bell curve like..
erm, 70th percentile onwards is A2 grade... etc.
