Now that my A lvls are over, I want to ask you all whether you all know any good economics/business resources to read up further on? Any resources are welcome!(books, websites etc)
I heard the Keynesian view is rather outdated and useless in today’s context?(why the heck are we learning it in the first place? Ouch )
Yeah, before you all berate me into having a life, I rather do some reading up that is beneficial in the future than playing myself silly with pc games :P
Thanks in advance yeah :D (ps I am rather wary of wikipedia, I have no idea whether they are right or wrong LOL
I say you can start with Economics. It's easiest to pick up the knowledge from the vase internet especially video lectures from academic institutions.
Follow this link and watch the entire series of lecture of Economics: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v18208323mycfMMnA
It's probably what you will be learning for the first few months in school.
Can refer to this thread also.
well, I want to learn further than that haha. As in I have already covered my h2 econs syllabus, just wanna learn more haha
it might not be a good idea to try to learn on ur own first bcos will 先入为主
later bery difficult to re-learn
if u think wiki is not trustable, wat makes u think other sites on the net is?
In polytechnics, students were taught to read information with a level of cautious and learn to be able to critically identify credible source of information.
When you want to learn about economics, you will first need to master the basics. After that, with a level of experience and practical knowledge, you will then we able to hypothesize and come out with a viable theory to suggest the observation.

I would suggest that if you are really keen on learning more, you should take your interest up in the form of the majors themselves. Because otherwise your views will be held sway by books/websites themselves. If not, just read with a pinch of salt, because you'll lack crucial tools of understanding.
In short, the mod is right there.
Hi. I also just finished my A levels. Btw TS maybe try freakonomics and behaviour economics(havent read them before but on my booklist) ? no need to go and learn the normal text if u are taking econs in university.
