Hi guys I am a Secondary 3 student and would like some advice on my current situation.
I have achieved A1 in my cca grade but realised that I am lacking in points in the Leadership component.
The only time I had a leadership position was in sec1 when I was a class monitor, and had turned down an offer to be a assistant scribe in scouts.
I have a lot of ccas namely cross country, floorball, scouts and mathematics society but I fear my record is more of "quantity" than "quality".
With the current empahasis on leadership in my school and its importantace in vaiours situations, I am really starting to regret not taking up the assistant scribe position and it has bothered me lately.
I do well in my studies and hope to go to vjc after my o's.
I doubt I will get another opportunity to obtain a leadership position as I will be sec 4 nxt yr.
I know it might seem like thinking too far ahead but I am wondering when apply to uni like nus med school for e.g, is leadership>results having a large impact and will they only look at your Jc cca records?
Thanks and sorry for being a little long winded , pretty new to forums
academic results first
unless u are fighting for the last few places, then they will pick the one with better CCA records
no leadership qualities nehmind, at least maintain a decent attendence
so at least they still think u are responsible
are there good leadership up there in our current system? so long u show good academic results and present well with colourful statistics and brilliant ideas like raising cab fares....thats your leadership...
