Hello,
I need some suggestions on what to make for my artefact, not sure if it's against SEAB rules, if it is, Mod please delete thread :P
I want to make something do-able in the workshop, max 400mm by 400mm. Materials provided only have Acrylic and Wood. The theme is Outdoors, so can make anything that is used for outside, broad theme..
Thanks in advance guys!
I'm not a D&T student..
Theme: Outdoor
It look like a tough topic to me
will u put my name on the project if i give u the idea?

1. portable stool to sit/ relax at beach/ garden.
2. an unique pot for a plant on the balcony/ window.
3. 40cm by 40cm is quite small, so think of designing a product for babies/ toddlers. you can go to shops selling children products to get some ideas, modify an existing product to improve.
I thought of making a stool and pot too, but getting the shape is quite difficult..

go to any furniture shop/ pottery shop/ gardening shop or even Ikea to get ideas on the shape/ design...etc.
so long as you make some modifications here and there to incorporate into your design, there will not be any problem.
okay, roger!
I would encourage Tmarcus to look around the neighbourhood for some problems in the community that requires solving using innovative designs. Instead of modifying an already known producted, why not create a product that change how things work?
The 400mm x 400mx is only 2D, give us the specs for 3D, i.e. max height, length, width... I can create a tower with 400m x 400m x 100000mm.
