NS deferment and Self study help request

I am having a problem.i am once a sec 5 student who more or less failed o level , couldnt get into any poly via JAE,DAE , 25 pts d7 for english , maths , science , my problem is , i want to defer NS for self study retaking Os for that 3 core subjects.however i cant defer without a full time course , i have already defer NS once though.so , i wanted to ask is it possible to defer under an ITE school that i later does not register into it.is there any consequences , will i be labelled AWOL , on top of that , my english was usually a b4 standard , science b3 standard , and maths supposely F9 , E8 . studied quite hard though.any tips?

You are right; you can't defer without a full time course. Your course of action now is to register yourself to a private school for your O levels, and only then you will be granted deferment for NS.

yea i have already applied dae for RP , rejected by NYP , i am sure i wont get through even though they slim it down to the courses i met the MER . still i am worried. i am lost.

You should serve NS first and enjoy yourself (whether you're the 'siao on' type or 'chow keng' type, you'll find a way to enjoy the 2 years break from your non-stop studying since you were born), then after your ORD, have the peace of your mind to commit to your 'O' levels and getting good results, and continue on with your further studies thereafter.

That is a very unsual plan . by than i bet i will forgot all the stuffs i had learned , plus i dont want to attend poly being the oldest among all.its very..unusual..

I suggest you just follow the normal path.
Can not get into poly, go ITE.
Hopefully you do well for nitec and you can get into poly or NS
Then after NS, work and take poly part-time.
Else you just do NS directly.

Go study private O level that is teach by private institute la
like MDIS, SIM, YMCA..
you can defer via them.

FYI, if you try to defer through a school that you don't register, it is AWOL and can be put under the DESERTER list. Not worth playing around with the law.

Okay , i have been given a place in ITE college east , i accepted that offer but dont really like the location and course.i am relying on RP DAE though . and if it fails.i am a goner.the NS thing is really a spoiler.

Accept the course in ITE college east, sign up for private candidate 2012 O level. Place greater emphasis on the O levels.

Just received from RP `s DAE result.unsuccessful,now i feel broken.i didnt slep for many days including now.and now the situation is not what i had expected or prepared..

Hey , u see , if i go to ite while retaking my o level, and if i pass qualified for a poly, and i cant drop off because the CMPD will ask me to go for NS right before POLY course?WHY IS THIS NS SHT SO ANNOYING?

Anyway , since i didnt get to any institute,poly , jc, ite via MOE JAE , and then i applied for ite courses in ite website , can i still use JAE next year, because ite put their exercise as JAE .....

JPAE for nitec/higher nitec holders.
DAE for nitec/higher nitec holders + O level results.
Make sure you do well for this year yo!

Again , then what if i get myself back to my secondary school as retainee?then can i use JAE?because JAE is the only chance.oh damn.this is frustrating,i can only blame myself.i cant believe is DAE the only way for higher nitec + o level holders.....i did get into the college thru MOE JAE u know....i was unposted.and i didnt want to complete the Higher nitec , i want to drop off after i got my retook o level results.then to poly,which is like 1 year then syonara.so....?

You'll still use DAE....
