Hello shushi.shashimi (yummy)
Good morning to you. Welcome to Homework Forum, soon you'll know the people here.
I'm not an F&N student, but I can try to help you a little.
Step 1) Identify the key words
'consuming food high in fats may lead to health problems. investigate the role in fats in planning meals for a particular group of people'.
Step 2) Try listing down what you know, what you don't know, what you need to find out. This is call the problem definition template (PDT). It's widely use in higher education to help students in their learning process.
What do you know about fats and its related diseases in general?
What are the effects of fats on people with health problems?
Fats in general can mean a lot of things, and when it comes to food, it's generally regard as fats from animals and in my case I always like to include oil (liquid in room temperature). I'm not very healthy because I have High Cholesterol and my nutritionist recommended me for a low-fat diet and my principal doctor put me on pills to bring down my cholesterol. My doctor say if my cholesterol remains high, it's not going to be good for my heart as I have a higher chance of suffering stroke.
What you need to do is to find out about the types of fat (and oil), and what does it do to the body. The role of fat in the body? Also research on the health problems caused by consuming high-fat diet for prolong time. Like my case is high cholesterol. Of course there are many more problems that can be caused by 'too much fat' in the body.
Lastly, when you're planning meals for a particular group of people with high risk of cardiovascular problems, what are the things you need to take note of? Less fat/oil definitely!
Best regards,
Chin Seng
P.S. Please come back to this forum more often okay? thank you!

If you do not have it printed, it's good to have one set.
ahh much better!..thanks!...i will make full use of ur help. well its quite something for someone who nvr take F&N, u make it so easy 0.o. haha but anyways thanks again...n one thing im curious, u dont sound like a student its more like a teacher.
You're right! I have been a private tutor for the past 7 years iirc Teachers and Tutors, we're educators and students ( learners) at the same time.
Another important aspect is to read this part: "investigate the role in fats in planning meals for a particular group of people".
For me, I always make the mistake of choosing a vague/generic group, such as healthy people. This in turn leads into a very broad and incomprehensive content as there are a variety of healthy people ranging from casual gym-goers to athletes and from young adults to fit, senior citizens.
Hence, it is important to really specify the target group, for example, I would pick, "Body-building athletes" to narrow down my subject focus, allowing me to speak in greater detail, bringing out a more solid content.
