This is my first post in sgforum, I hope it is also my lucky post.
Recently I read our senior minister mentor Mr Lee Kuan Yew's <Singapore language journey>, and the words being fresh in my mind is: "I believe language transmits values. " It enlightens me!
I was from China since 19 years old, going through my university here, starting my career and building my family as well. Although English has not been issue in my normal life and work, I have been feeling its importance, and keeping self-learning all the way. Mr Lee's book enlightens me to be more exposed in culture and literature if I want furture command of english language.
I wish I can find friends here who has the same feeling, be it Chinese, Malay, western or India, we share and help each other, then become life-long friends.
