Can still be admitted to JC conditionally.
For details on conditional admission to JC, please refer to the URL link provided by FireIce.
Originally posted by Audi:Hi you may enter JC on a case-by-case basis. but even so, if you do not pass CLB in JC, you will get kicked out at the end of year one. this is what happened to one of my secondary school friends. at the end of yr one, the JC told him if he refuses to pass it, they will not allow him in college anymore. He ended up in a polytechnic when i was in year two of JC. so either you buck up on CLB or you go to a JC on conditional admission, refuses to work on CLB and waste one year in life. that is the hard facts of life.
Hi there. I'm not trying to make an excuse by not passing CLB, but then my Chinese is really horrible as I rarely speak mandarin since my parents are mixed blood.
In contrast, if my Chinese cmi, might as well not go jc?
then make some effort
oredi CLB liao. how worse can it get.

that's easier said than done. My foundation of Chinese is very bad and I can only pass Oral since I find talking a little easier than writing.
if this is your attitude and mindset, then u will never improve.
Hi,
read this guide: http://sgforums.com/forums/2297/topics/332998
i written it in English, so hope you can find some light in improving!

thanks for the guide. Anyway, is electronic dictionary or the book dictionary better?
I don't mind people laughing at me. I got F9 for chinese, please laugh people!

In ur era, u all are allowed to bring electronic dictionary inside right? Of course it will be electronic :)
But then again I will say, if you are good, then you won't need a dictionary. Dictionary is to help u in ur occasional forgetfulness. Not ur guide book or something that you copy entirely from. Imagine u spend the whole time checking dictionary. Lots of time wasted.
u seriously need to build confidence.

It is not because I have low confidence, but instead I learnt to accepted how people judge me :)
Yeah and my difficulty in chinese is that I cannot read and write words with a lot of strokes.
can i just say, that i am also a constant f9-er in chinese in secondary sch. i never once passed chinese and that my highest was an e8 lol. but presently, you just need a minimjm D7 to get in to JC. i passed my chinese (not basic) with a c6 despite not studying and thought i was going to fail so the rest is for you to decide. my take on this? take clb cos its ezier! no regrets for me tho, gluck.
