H2 Chem A level (Benchmark for grades)

  Hi, does anyone have an idea what is the typical benchmark for A/B for Chemistry Paper 3? LOL, basically, i find today's paper relatively easy yet I made careless mistakes in reading the questions and couldnt get some calculation answers (which is required for subsequent marks). Think I threw away at least 15-20 marks because of that. Will that push me into the grade C zone? The rest of the questions seem pretty fine. I am guessing it's a near full marks paper very easily.

  It all depends on the bell-curve, which varies year by year. Tis impossible to predict with any certainty where a particular raw score will get you an A or a B.

  From your description, if you performed about the same for Paper 2 and expect the same for Paper 1, yeah, it's somewhere between an A and a B! Couldn't say for sure which! Lol.

  Thanks for the prompt response UltimaOnline! Yeah just a bit concerned because I felt that 15-20 marks gone is a huge disadvantage considering most will find it very very manageable. Still, I guess it's over. Thanks again!

  Not an easy paper indeed, lost almost 4 marks already, I guess the curve will not be that bad
