Oh, as fyi trivia, the same technical terms can have different meaning across the different sciences :
Example #1 - Resonance
In H2 Physics, resonance refers to the tendency of a system to oscillate with greater amplitude at some frequencies than at others.
In H2 Chemistry, resonance refers to the delocalization of electrons through the sideways overlapping of p or pi orbitals.
Example #2 - Conjugation
In H2 Biology, conjugation refers to the transfer of genetic material between bacterial cells by direct cell-to-cell contact or by a bridge-like connection between two cells (bacterial sexual intercourse, basically).
In H2 Chemistry, conjugation refers to the overlap of a p or pi orbital with another across an intervening sigma bond (a concept closely related to resonance, as the former allows the latter to occur). -
