Hello,
I took my O levels this year, and I am currently awaiting my results.
I am interested in being a Doctor, hence may I know what are the 'compulsory subjects' for most Medicine courses in Universities? (Be it Local / Overseas).
The only two Sciences I took in O levels were Chemistry and Physics.
If I were to pursue a local Medicine course, would it be advisable for me to take up H2 Biology? I heard that NUS has a criteria which demands students to have both H2 Chem and Bio (Do correct me if I'm wrong).
Thanks!
-Hayden

• Good 'A' Level results. • Good pass in Chemistry. • two other subjects, of which one must be Biology or Physics • And indicate Medicine as first or second choice on the application. Locals with International qualifications should have equivalent qualifications and overall good grades including good passes in Chemistry and either Biology or Physics. |
Officially, by right, as Lee012lee said, H2 Chem and either H2 Bio or H2 Phys.
But unofficially, by left (as they say in the army), H2 Bio has an admissions advantage over H2 Phys. This is an unstated but commonly known rule.

Wow, UltimateOnline, your website is significantly better than the last time I have visited.
Alright, I'll consider taking Bio then. Thanks all!
