education path after NITEC

I be making this short and try to be straight to the point lols >.<
U see, my friend has only NITEC and now he is in NS 6 more months before he ORD. He planning to study after he ORD and i can see strong determination in him. But with only his NITEC, he can't register in poly right? so he have to continue in ITE. I think he is angry at me for telling him that he should retake N levels.... YES I KNOW... THAT IS A BAD IDEA T_T.
The thing is that he don't want to continue or so called "upgrade" his certificate of NITEC in his current course which is info-communication. His career dream is to become a game designer so that being said, he want to restart his education back from scratch on a whole new course. is this advisable?

i think he should go ite. And also don't retake N level. i don't think it is useful. In the past, N level gives you ITE. However, right now N level gives you poly. O level will be harder for him. Ask him to go ite game design course and slowly progress to game design at poly and then SIT game design.
The problem is AGE. Retaking N level is not a good course. You see he is like 20+ and retake N level needs 1 year, polytechnic foundation program needs another year. Why not just go ITE? Would't it be easier and cheaper than N level. Btw, he cannot take o level unless he planning to study from 7am to 10pm daily (including holidays) for o level. Which is quite tough.

oh okie. But when he go to the ITE site, the entry requirement for Game design is O level. He only has N level. So there's no way for him to join in Game design course? please give me good news T_T lols

Actually, he has two options to try.
1. If his gpa for Nitec in info comm is 3.5 and above, he can apply direct to poly for a game design course.
2. If his gpa is minimum 2.3, he can apply for higher nitec in game design & development. From higher nitec, he needs gpa of 2.5 to apply to related game courses in poly.
