Osseous - bony
Anemometer - instrument for measuring wind
These words are rarely used.
Navvy - close to the word Navy, unskilled manual laborer, in the past seamen.
Philately - stamp collector
There are many words in the dictionary. And they are uncommonly used. Since nobody is using it anyway. There is no point in learning, because to achieve the purpose of communication, the other party must also understand what you are trying to say. Redundant.

These are words anyone hardly ever uses.
I stuck to simple vocabulary in my composition passages and comprehension answers. There is simply no point in trying to show off your wide vocabulary range when you can't get simple grammar correct. Just get your point across and write in clear, plain English, and no one can fault you.
