Differential equation by substitution (H2 maths)

  Is solving a differential equation by substitution still in the H2 syllabus? Or has it been removed? I mean this type of question:

  By substituting y = vx, solve dy/dx = 2xy/(x² + y²).

  The last A-levels d.e. question using substitution was in 2007. I don't see d.e. by substitution after 2008. The current syllabus also doesn't mention the method of substitution. So is it still in the syllabus? Or has it been removed?

  Hi,

    It is in. However the content has not been assessed in the H2 Maths exam thus far. The syllabus document is, unfortunately, vague in many ways.
