Accountancy is quite "mechanical" and you need to be meticulous in keeping accounts and spotting discrepancies.
Maybe SIM dip in accounting cannot lead to SMU/NUS/NTU, but you can go to SIM for the degree. It is costly and maybe accelerated. Pls enquire at SIM.
Some employers may not recognise this diploma.
news always say there is lack of accountants but it's because of those company with high turn over rate. ;)
but if you go SIM and continue to get a degree it's a very good choice for you.
But take note not all employers recognise/like SIM degree.
Do not know whether govt accepts SIM grads for all their depts.
