yup i used to be one. an ex long term relief teacher with multiple interaction with vp and p.
now no matter what you do, only the school adminstrator( principal or vp) has the right to help you with the transfer.
SAJC cop for 2013 is 9 and mine is 10nett.12 raw.
so go down to sajc and look for the P or VP? how should i approach them? from what i know the admin staff is kinda bad.
@[imdestinyz] i tried to mix around with them and put up with their behaviour but i find it too difficult to tolerate people who study hard at home and tell the rest of the class( including me ) not to study or mug
hmmm, i m not too sure if this works, if you want you can do an internal transfer by speaking to your vp or p in jjc so you can be transfered to another class, if not just pop by down sajc around morning 11am or mid afternoon 2+ to. morning the best cause they would be around for sure, speak to the principal if possible and request to meet him, if the p is not around, you would be transfer to the vp to speak with him and there you can continue to discuss your issues and how you can get in, chance seem slim for you at this time of the year, i highly doubt they have any more space for you unless someone just left, and even so, your reason seem abit absurb to me for a transfer to a "better" school. they would most probably believe you are trying to get into their school because its better not because of culture
what do you mean? i know that the P may be busy at times and if i went down she may not be free. i gave the school a call they said no slot, so now im helpless..
if sa say no slot, highly likely that even if you go down, you would not be entertain as they have no space for anymore students, my best advice is to consider other school, pjc sound gd? go to some school which the cut-off point matches yours. 10 doesnt seem quite possible for sajc. that 1 pt make quite a big diff
On what grounds should SAJC accept you on the knowledge that you are someone who cannot stand the mere rigours of a "closet-mugger" environment as cited by you?
Go figure.
but that is really so, why i wanted to change jcs as many of my friends and relatives graduated there and said that it has a good culture. i admit the results is also part of the reason but i think that it is really secondary.
and to add on the admin says no transfer and no seats already..
Suck it up dude.
"Bad" events build character.
Can we even forsee what lies ahead in such "adverse" environment?
My experience tells me otherwise.
i cant but chances are the culture would be better, although the chances of me getting in is close to 0.
Do you not understand when I said that if you tell the principal of SAJC you want to enter the school because you like SAJC better will cut you no ice?
Why?
Because there's no free lunch.
Tell me.
How are you going to contribute to SAJC in return for the favour of getting you in?
If you can't prepare to answer this question, then you better forget it.
Altruism in education is the ideal situation, but this is the real world we are talking here.
So again, suck it up and move on, and maybe you will come out from this experience stronger.
what do you mean by stronger?
so bottom line dont go to sajc to appeal for transfer?

i understand that you must have made an effort to adapt to their behaviours. However, when u grow up to work, you are definitely going to meet ppl like that. By then, you would be stucked between your job and the PR in your company. What you are facing now, i believe staying in your current skill and facing it/solving it, benefits you more in the long run. Off course for short term benefits, you can try to change school.
so still haben change?
term 2 liao loh
instead of whining why not take some actions and update us about it (:
admin oredi give red light liao
the time taken to kpkb here can go study and make fwens in current JC
Vp say changing class doesn't solve the problem, ask me to adapt to te environment and build up social skills. Of course FT would be there to help.
sajc says no slot already. Though I haven't go down yet, just had a chat with the vp, she say too full already. Academic rigour has started to build up, I may not cope well.
Currently I'm trying to adapt but it's hard, so I guess I'll probably be staying here for the 2 years
so u just to build up a more optimistic attitude.
