Question rearding O level Physics

  I want to ask if ticker tape questions are still in the syllabus? Esp those harder ones like calculating the acceration.....using the dots

  I have no problem with ticker tape questions, but I am not sure whether is it in the O level syllabus because only 1 ticker tape question came up in TYS.

  If I had the power of google when I took my O levels, I'll get A2 for all my 9 subjects already!

  It is not stated in the 2013 and 2014 O level syllabus specifically. 

  However, the syllabus also states that 

  These assessment objectives cannot be precisely specified in the subject content because questions testing such skills may be based on information which is unfamiliar to the candidate. In answering such questions, candidates are required to use principles and concepts that are within the syllabus and apply them in a logical, reasoned or deductive manner to a novel situation.

  So we cannot say that it will definitely not appear.

   

  In addition, from the syllabus as well, under Experimental Skills and Investigations,

  Students should be able to:

  1. follow a sequence of instructions;
  2. use techniques, apparatus and materials;
  3. make and record observations, measurements and estimates;
  4. interpret and evaluate observations and experimental results;
  5. plan investigations, select techniques, apparatus and materials;
  6. evaluate methods and suggest possible improvements.

  Ticker tape timer is part of lab apparatus, and may be used in SPA Skill Set 3.
