应该说... 巾帼让须眉...
Ha ha........ I heard of 巾帼让须眉 but it was only recently that I found out the meaning of 巾帼让须眉.
We have traversed more than one hundred thousand li of immense water spaces
and have beheld in the ocean huge waves like mountains rising sky-high,
and we have set eyes on barbarian regions far away hidden
in a blue transparency of light vapors,
while our sails loftily unfurled like clouds day and night.
- Ma San Bao (1371–1433). Born as a Muslim and a descendant of a Persian King, Sayyid Ajjal Shams al-Din Omar, he was taken in as a slave. He then became a court eunuch, and became a playmate to the Emperor’s son, and later became his most trusted adviser and led expeditions throughout much of the world to suppress pirates and maintain peace to the waters and foreign lands where his footprints were - spreading China’s supremacy and global knowledge with over 300 large fleets and 28,000 men – the most powerful fleets in 15th century. Historical evidence showed that he had discovered America in 1421 - 72 years earlier than Christopher Columbus. However, his last days were heart broken and thrown into relative obscurity when China stopped all expeditions and shut herself to the rest of the world.
He is better known as郑和, the greatest Chinese admiral.

Do not tell me women
are not the stuff of heroes,
I alone rode over the East Sea's
winds for ten thousand leagues.
My poetic thoughts ever expand,
like a sail between ocean and heaven.
I dreamed of your three islands,
all gems, all dazzling with moonlight.
I grieve to think of the bronze camels,
guardians of China, lost in thorns.
Ashamed, I have done nothing
not one victory to my name.
I simply make my war horse sweat.
- ç’¿å¿ (1875 – 1907). Deeply influenced by western and left wing ideologies, she aroused new consciousness in her activities to liberate Chinese women and her patriotic passion to topple Qing dynasty and establish a democratic republic – a world where women stand equal to men. Fond of dressing as a male and highly trained in martial arts, she joined Sun Yat Sen in the historic struggle towards republic ideals, but was captured just before a major uprising against Qing, and was decapitated. She is better known as 秋瑾 – China’s first feminist, revolutionary and heroine.

"Yiying qingqing (or “darling”, “habibi’), I am writing this letter to bid you farewell. As I am writing this, I am still counted among the living; however, as you soon read it, I will have passed through the “gates of Hades”. Tears are mixing with ink as my pen moves across the page. I don’t know if I’ll have enough strength in me to finish (this letter). But I dare not abandon it for fear that you may misjudge my heart, and think that I have “forsaken” you (needlessly) to die (for a cause). …
The ancients say: the “kind and compassionate” respect their elders, and (because of this) a respect is extended to the elders of others; they cherish their own young, and thereby cherish everybody’s young. On the very account of my love for you, I now wish to sacrifice my self to give "everyone" a chance to love whom they love. Because of this, I dare to give up my life and go before you …I love you with all my heart - and it is this love that compels me to grow the courage to face certain death..."
- Lin Jueh-Min (1887-1911). Educated in Japan, and deeply influenced by the revolutionary ideas which embrace democracy, freedom and equality, he returned to join Tongmenhui and fought ferociously alongside with other comrades, that culminated in his martyr’s death, which famously came to be known as the '72 Martyrs Huanghuagang'. He left a famous letter to his wife at the time of her pregnancy - <與妻訣別書>. He is better known as林觉民, and was only 24 years old.
Many times, and ironically, the majority survived and progressed through civilizations with the sacrificial valour of the minorities.

Truth and freedom endlessly fights on even after liberation. There is never a real beginning nor an end in the vicious circle of pasts to future recurrences.
Truth is verified through engagement; not as mere bystanders.
