I'm a foriegner, come to Singapore on a social visit pass.
I found a job in a big company that regularly employs foriegners and gets them E-Pass from the MOM, Singapore.
I signed a contract with that company and they appllied for my E-Pass about seven days ago.
However a few hours ago, I was told that my application for E-Pass (and probably for S-Pass also) got rejected.
I don't see any reason for the rejection.
Can I appeal? What is the procedure? Will I be granted an interview so that I can show documents, if needed? How long does the process take, as my Social Visit Pass expires soon.
I have google for it and i found this website where you can see all the requirements and Re-apply requirements. So here it is www.mom.gov.sg/
It is very difficult to get Employment Pass for singapore. The Ministry of manpower in singapore has tighten the rules. My friend applied for it, He also got refused. Why don't u try to talk with Immigration expert.
Why don't you talk to the company and Tell them they should apply for your EP again. With this way your case will be more stronger.
I found this on internet. May be it is helpful for you. See below
Only eligible candidates will be considered for an Employment Pass. Criteria include a minimum salary of $3,300 and acceptable qualifications. Use the Self-Assessment Tool to check a candidate's eligibility before you apply.
The Employment Pass is for foreign professionals who:
Use the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) to check if the candidate qualifies for the pass.
Note on salaries:
Note on acceptable qualifications:
We encourage you to use the Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) to get an indication of whether a candidate meets the Employment Pass requirements. Candidates can also use the tool to assess their eligibility.
If the SAT shows that the candidate is not eligible, you shouldn't apply for the Employment Pass because it will be rejected.
If the SAT shows that the candidate is eligible, there is around a 90% chance that the candidate will get a pass.
Thanks you friends for your suggestions, I am consulting with Visa consultant in singapore. Lets see...
