What was meant to have been a 'meeting' between two Ngee Ann polytechnic students ended up in a fight involving more than 20 students, three of whom ended up slightly hurt.
The incident occurred on Monday at about 11am, reported the Shin Min Daily News.
According to one of the students who was hurt in the fight, the fight was unprovoked.
One of the injured, B, who did not wish to be identified, said he was sitting in the canteen doing his work when he felt someone staring at him.
He turned around to find a male student that he did not recognise, glaring at him. The student then went up to B and told him to meet him at the nearest toilet "to talk".
"I told him I didn't even know him, and we could just talk in the canteen", said B, speaking to Shin Min's reporters.
But the student then told him to meet back at the canteen in 10 minutes.
Perplexed, B pulled together three other friends and decided to meet the student in the canteen to get to the bottom of the matter.
However, they were taken aback when they got to the canteen to find the student who had approached B, together with 20 other students.
Sensing trouble, B went forward and repeated again that he did not know him, and asked "why the need to fight?". B had barely completed his sentence, before a punch thrown by the student landed on his face.
Said B: "I immediately felt giddy and my friends came up to help me pin him to the ground. But just another one came forward to help, he slipped and accidentally kicked the head of the student who was on the floor. That was when the guy's friends rushed up to us and tried to separate us, and the three of us got injured as a result.
Mother of victim called the police
B suffered a swollen left ear as a result of the fight, and says he still has a constant headache and nausea.
His mother, Madam Lee, 45, said: "What was worse, his school called him yesterday to say that he will be expelled."
Madam Lee has since made a police report over the beating and says she will take legal action if necessary.
When contacted, a spokesperson from Ngee Ann Polytechnic said depending on the seriousness of the matter as deemed by the school, the students may be suspended or face expulsion.
However, it says investigations are still underway, and said "no one has informed the students involved that they will be expelled."

next time... wear a sunglass ( so there is no eyes contact at all ).

This 'B' may be a victim, but he's not very intelligent, either.... Why is there a need to (I quote):

Someone is trying to pick a fight with you, just walk away lah..... why bother getting three more reinforcements to meet the instigator?

Haha... I feel things like that all the time too. But usually i misinterpret the feeling as the need to let go gas.

The punk's friends only came forward to help when the guy on the floor got "accidentally" kicked??? Wow. You smell that? Smell like a Bull just came in and did his business somewhere.
Obviously this B knew what he was getting into. Going to meet the guy at the proposed appointment.
Ofcourse the mum will believe the son's an angel.
Moral of the story: if someone ask you to meet him in the toilet to talk things out, just meet him in the toilet. It'd be difficult to fit 20 people in the toilet.

I was stretching out my arm, then I accidentally clotheslined someone who was running past.
Then when he fell, he pulled me to the ground, and I somehow ended up with an armlock around his neck.
