I was just considering the info again and maybe it will be the Sands building, which I did not think of when I started the thread. When I started his thread it did not occur to me that the casino building at Marina might be the building that will collapse. It only occured to me just now.

Buildings don't last forever, they're going to collapse sooner or later. How would that be surprising ?

Give a few hundred years, or a few thousand years, and every building will sooner or later will have to collapse.
Andrew, do you mind sharing this 'inside information' of yours which is 'solid proof' of your claims that such a collapse will happen in the near future? You can be a hero. You can save countless lives. Your loved ones among them.

i live along a street name that begins with jalan!
luckily not T after that.
anyway i've been hearing things from staffs of a construction company that hdb awards contracts to companys that can build what they want in the shortest amount of time.
its straightforward who doesn't want that to be done in the shortest amount of time. but what i heard is that the timeframe quoted to hdb at times is ridiculous.

Design is the one that take the most times. Once you have got everything designed up, it doesn't really take a long time to build so it's no surprise that the building can get built in a short period. Wall panels are prefabricated in factory nowadays so all you need to do is to transport them to sites and put them together like legos.
