kong hee is abusing God's name to make himself richer.
this is disgusting and immoral.
where is the moral integrity ?
kong hee's case of criminal dishonesty on manipulating of church fund has currently no conclusion.
there is a dead silence on the matter.
he is feeding on the poor christian for money.
one ex-city harvest church-goer left because he did not even have money to buy lunch.
think about it
aiya, if I go CHC and I don't donate.
They also don't know that. Cannot force me mah ...
no worry

There is a way for them to track. They are very organised.
Why choose CHC, there are many other churches to go to?
The doctrine in CHC is questionable lol.

I heard they got people tracking who gave money and who didn't.

Otherwise how they get such detailed figures?
Every week you go, put money in envelope. Fill up the form: your particulars & how much you want to donate to
1. Tithe (compulsory % of salary)
2. Offering "Give what you feel is needed"
3. Building fund "Want to worship in a nice church, not free"
4. Donations (to poor)
Can pay by cash, credit card or GIRO.
Next week your cell group leader will give out your group's receipt one by one.
XD

Being a christian in muslim countries is really not simple so of course God will reward them.

Oh yes, they give receipt because "church believe in transparency".
yes disgusting is the word for it.
money money money
money money
money
gosh. are they trying to build a stairways to heaven or what?
why should a church be so rich? do they want to spread faith through money?
Generally, the church will make arrangement for the members to pledge the amount they are giving annually, monthly, quarterly, bi monthly. Tithes packets will be issued to them to put the money in. I am not sure if Kong Hee is using GIRO to deduct from the members' account or not or is credit card payment available.
Thank you God, one of my relative passed away and we recieved a call.
She converted to Christianity before dying. All the glory to God.
Will be going for the funeral tmr.

Yes, you can donate via GIRO. But cash might be better, so your leader can see the receipt.
Distributing the receipts at next week's service has 3 effects:
1. Leader knows how much you donated
2. Leader has an excuse to chase you to attend service, or even deliver to your house and "chat with you" if you quit Church.
3. It takes away Leader's time for other activities. No friends outside Church = more committed to Church.
In fact the majority of CHC members spend alot of time there:
1. Service on Sat / Sun
2. Attend the whole service again by volunteering at one fo the church ministries (usher, choir, security guard, etc)
3. Weekly Cell group at someone's house
4. Fellowship (fancy name for "outing") with cell group members
5. Rehearse for annual Parade of Schools carnival (for students)
6. Prayer conference (pastor from overseas, whole church go to pray together)
7. Friends weddings happening all the time (It's true. CHC members are discouraged from getting attached to outsiders or even other church's members. Cos some churches do not agree with CHC. Most of them marry very young.)
And most importantly...
8. going out to suck new people in
If you go to CHC, prepare to sign your life away. It's worse than signing on in SAF or maybe even being deployed to a war zone. And say hello to your new friends.
Suckers getting fleeced by people of "God".
Unless you are illiterate, pick up a good translation of the bible, preferably a KJV and ESV parallel, and read it yourself so you don't get bamboozled.
Even if you aren't a "christian", doing this can be a great exercise bearing in mind the big three schools of learned thought are theology, medicine and philosophy.
As for the money grubbing "churches", any "church" that panders you for money especially for bricks and four walls is a cult and you should leave immediately.

Wow, you sure know a lot about this.
Are you one of them or previously one of them?
Or you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who is in there ?
The first category. I used to go, gave token sum.
Nowadays they still ask me to go, once in awhile I go but won't give.

I hope it's not one of those conversions of senile people or forced conversions by denial of food and water. If so, the person won't go to heaven.

The pastor konghee and wife own many units of condos , instead of selling their condos and donate money to church he is asking people staying in HDB to do it.
I really don't know what to say.

You worship idols still wanna critisize Pastor.
At least the pastor is in the right religion.
You worship idols with eyes that cannot see, ears that cannot hear, mouth that cannot eat and lifeless.
Satanic.
