heaven..........................haven't more likely...................
heaven = only exit in the wishful thinking of the ignorant

they conveniently ignore the fact there will be a judgement day.
not all christians will go to heaven.
That is why many of them don't bother to practise what the bible teaches about repentence, love, kindness and so on. Yes, not all christians go to heaven.

come on. we all know who the guilty party is. give credit to god for everything good and blame satan for everything bad.
What's the difference between NIV and KJV? NIV is simply for those with weaker commands of English.
to alize,
from wad i noe, its got to do wif the dilution of the meaning of certain words when translated from original hebrew/greek to english...cos NIV uses simple english, it may not convey the meaning of certain verses in their real essence...this of cos dun mean tat NIV preaches a different set of truths...it simply means tat the truths may lose some depth in their meanings cos of the simple english used...

must blame God for creating evil........otherwise, no Devil liao......
must blame God for creating Devil also.........
also must blame God for his incompetence........still can't defeat Devil.......
heck ! the old fool didn't even know Devil will betray him...........LOL
RIP to the deceased, and hope that the remaining kid will grow up to be strong, successful and sensible.

ya I have said all along about the contractions and paradoxes of god. when god created mankind, doesnt god knows beforehand since god is omniscient that Lucifer will betray him? but still he created Lucifer and so evil was born. but then begs the question, if there were no evil before lucifer, where does the evil thought arises in Lucifer?
Anyone who believes in a First Cause must believe everything comes from the First Cause.
Evil comes from innate human nature - desire. If desire can be satisfied without any form of violation then no harm occurs. The newspaper reported a teenage girl was repeated raped by her own father since the age of 10. Rape is an evil deed and there was violation of a young girl in satisfying the sexual desire. The rapist's deed was said to be like animal. Wrong - animals don't do such thing to their youngs.
So, if creator-God created human. That must include human nature or character. However, God can find an excuse. Man was created on the sixth day. What quality of work is done on a Saturday?
then blame god lor for creating evil.....................
and yet god drowned the whole becoz humans are evil...............
what else can he expect when he created evil ?
that's why i say god is as real as harry potter................in fact, less real...........
is evil the opposite of good or the absence of good?

hahaha, this is not even a philosophical question but one for despondent fun. what good would this question do?
cos if evil is the absence of good then evil is not created but rather a result of the absence of sth created...but if evil is the opposite of good then evil and good would both be sth which are created...hope u get the difference...
can non-existence be created? the very meaning of the word 'absence' means there must originally be presence...can u say somebody is absent from work/school if that person didnt exist at all in that school/workplace?

I see. I read about this form of 'logic' somewhere. Even if we don't bring in the creator-God - without a doubt, we all can agree that evil is NOT good, not the absence of good.
The trick question is: if one is to answer that evil is the absence of good, then the creator-God will be exonerated. If one is to say that evil is the opposite of good, then one must begin with 'good', otherwise how to have opposite? And vice versa.
There is also a flaw in the statement 'evil is the absence of good'. If good is absent, there is 'no' good to begin with. So how do you fathom evil?
You see what logically trick can do to those who lacked intellectual capacity to reason. Someone who wants to justify that evil is not created will say evil is the 'absence of good' and these people will be sold!
The point I want to make is this: anyone who believes there is a First Cause cannot find excuse that there is another Cause. The Christian argument is this: God created 'good', it is Satan who created evil. This mean there are two Causes!
eh...no...its like darkness is teh absence of light but can we say light is the absence of darkness? cold is teh absence of heat but can we say heat is the absence of cold?
or if i amy put it another way, satan created evil by not doing good...but tat still does nt equate evil as the opposite of good...
Woah... opinions on subjective moralities... Could be as interesting as the last one.... /sarcasm.
not good means evil but does not evil mean good? personally, i feel not good means bad but not bad doesnt mean its good...

Now, I recall where I have read about this oddity - I think it was some powerpoint sent to me. The trick word is 'absence'. It plays on our 'logical' mind. Try rephrasing - light is the absence of darkness, can we say darkness is the absence of light.
Our limited mind seems to think light is overpowering darkness. If you liken darkness to black and light to white, would you not say that white is the absence of black and black is the absence of white?

hahaha, we may be on the opposite views!
whether evil is an exact opposite of good is debatable. suffice to say, evil is not exactly good. this comparison does not have to consider who the creator of good or evil is/was unless we have to decide a winner.
however, if the issue is still on a creator of good or evil, then believers of First Cause cannot use another Cause.

oh God, you are now bad, to bring another word! does that mean you are evil?
I think you need to sort out the general meaning of what we have been trying to discuss, rather than changing tack.
